A Letter From the President…

Welcome HHA Bentonville Families!

The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization is excited to kick off another adventurous year! I wanted to start off by saying welcome to our school, sharing with you why I am a HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member, and a little bit about what the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization does for our campus. 

To all of our scholars and parents, WELCOME! While our academic achievements at HHA Bentonville speak for themselves, the sense of community and support this campus provides is also second to none. Our group of exceptional scholars, dedicated teachers, and devoted parents make for a middle and high school experience like none other. We are so glad you have chosen HHA Bentonville and are considering becoming a HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member!

A little bit about myself… My family moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2017. This will be our fourth year at HHA Bentonville and are excited to have a sophomore and seventh grader at our campus this year! I got involved at our campus our first year here so that I could get to know the teachers, scholars, and get a general feel for the HHA Bentonville campus experience. I started out on the Socials Committee and helped with merchandise and other committees. I also helped start cheerleading at our campus and this will be my fourth year as the HHA Bentonville cheerleading coach. After having the opportunity to work with so many amazing parents, scholars, and faculty over the years, I found that it is something that I truly loved doing. I became president in 2020. Being a member of the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization has given me a voice at our campus and allowed me to be a part of facilitating change, improvement, and growth at our campus. I am looking forward to serving as the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization president for the 2021-2022 school year.

For those of you who are new to our campus, you may be wondering what the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization even is! The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization (formerly the PFC and Booster Club) are a group of parents working together to make a positive impact on our scholars, faculty, and campus in the areas of academics, extra curricular activities, athletics, and music. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and rely on your membership to be able to provide essential supplies, specialty equipment and materials, organize fun events for our campus, and so much more. We not only rely on your donations but also need parents that can volunteer their time and ideas. Becoming an HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member at any level gives you voting rights and is your voice to continue building on the growth and improvement of our campus for the upcoming school year. 

I would personally like to ask every family at our campus to consider becoming an HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member for the 2021-2022 school year. We are prepared for all of the adventures this year has in store for us and I would like to see the level of commitment and support from the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization for our campus to be bigger and better than ever! It truly takes all of us to make HHA Bentonville the best in the state.

Questions You May Have…

Q: My scholar will be virtual only, should I still become an HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member?

A: Absolutely! The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization has been brainstorming all summer in preparation for the upcoming school year and ways that we can support our virtual and in person scholars. We want to bring the same sense of community to all of our scholars, which makes it that much more important for you to become a HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member. We need members with scholars from both learning methods to ensure we are providing excellent support and communication to all of our scholars and parents. 

Q: Will the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization even be meeting this year?

A: The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization will still be meeting and carrying on all of our regular meeting discussions as we would any other year. For safety reasons we will be holding all meetings virtually until further notice. A schedule of our meetings can be found here (HHA Bentonville Parent Organization Meetings).

Q: Can I still be a HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member if I am not able to attend the meetings?

A: Yes! While we would love for you to attend our virtual meetings to give your input, we will be posting our agendas and meeting minutes online for you to view. You are always welcome to email ParentOrganization@hhabentonville.org with any ideas, questions, or comments you may have.

Q: Can I still be an HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member if I am not able to volunteer my time?

A: Yes! We completely understand that not everyone is able to volunteer. Your donations are equally as appreciated as your time. 

Q: I want to be an HHA Bentonville Parent Organization member but work during the day. Can I still get involved?

A: Yes! Some volunteer opportunities are short and sweet and can be done on your own time. If it is a matter of conflicting schedules please reach out and see if there is an area that may work for you.

Q: With new health and safety guidelines in place, how will the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization be involved with our scholars and faculty this year?

A: The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization has been hard at work this summer planning ways to bring support, communication, and experiences to our scholars, parents, and faculty this school year in a safe and effective manner. We want all of our families to feel like they have an equal opportunity to be involved. We expect that our scholars and faculty will rely on our support more this year than ever before and we are committed to continuing to offer them our assistance. At this time we are focusing our plans on fun virtual and outdoor experiences throughout the school year that will help our scholars build meaningful relationships in a safe way. 

What Your Membership Includes…

Any level of HHA Bentonville Parent Organization membership will give you voting rights for the upcoming school year, which means you will have a say in any important decisions made by the HHA Bentonville Parent Organization. 

The HHA Bentonville Parent Organization dislikes fundraisers as much as you do! Our membership drive provides our organization the funds that we can use to support our scholars and faculty for the entire year. We ask that you really consider this when choosing your level of membership.

The Membership Drive will start August 5th and end September 15th. You can still become a member after September 15th, but you will not receive the membership items. All membership items will be ordered at the conclusion of the Membership Drive. You will receive an email when your item(s) are available with arrangements for pick up.
